How to become Imferpect
- Did you make it on purpose? - my friend asked
- What? - back I asked, while excited explaining what ideas I have about the imperfections of handmade art.
- Did you write Imperfect incorrectly for a reason?
- Did I what? Wait, oh... well, do you see? Things I do are imFERpect, because I am only a human. But this makes me so unique

Why I Started Making Clay Lights
Art has always been a part of me—I first discovered the joy of working with clay as a child. Years later, life led me back to it when I had the opportunity to learn from a local artist. After relocating from Hungary to Atlanta, I found an inspiring and inclusive creative space at the Spruill Center for the Arts. There, under the guidance of the talented Carol Brull, I deepened my understanding of ceramics, from throwing to glazing and the magic of raku firing.
Through this journey, I fell in love with the process of shaping clay into light—transforming raw earth into illuminated sculptures that bring warmth and artistic ambiance to any space. Each piece carries the essence of fire, air, and the handmade imperfections that make it uniquely beautiful.
What Inspires My Designs
Raku glazing has an atmosphere like no other—some pieces emerge looking like aged steel, others carrying the unpredictable marks of fire. The transformative power of fire has enchanted me; it's both destructive and creative, unpredictable yet deeply rewarding.
Working with clay is a delicate balance—you have to be gentle and strong at the same time. It teaches patience, resilience, and acceptance. No matter how much time you invest, a beloved piece can be lost in an instant. A sculpture may look intact when placed in the kiln, only to emerge broken. Raku embodies this fragility and strength, mirroring life itself.
I find beauty in the unknown. With raku, you can never be certain of the final outcome—just like in life, you can plan, but sometimes you simply have to adapt. Even the act of carving holes into a seemingly perfect surface is both frightening and meditative.
I wouldn’t call myself a patient person, yet I can spend hours refining the smallest details. And then, in the end, when the light finally shines through—it’s pure magic. ✨

What Feelings Do My Sculptures Bring Into a Home?
The best reward is knowing where my piece will belong—imagining it becoming part of someone’s space, shaping the ambiance and transforming the way a room feels. Each sculpture carries a story, and when I receive feedback from those who connect with my work, it’s a deeply fulfilling experience.
By day, my sculptures stand modest and solid, blending seamlessly into the interior with their natural, earthy presence. But when night falls and the light shines through, they transform the entire atmosphere—casting intricate patterns, creating warmth, and filling the space with a quiet, almost meditative magic.
Creating feels personal, almost like finding the perfect match for a friend. I love designing with a specific person or space in mind, knowing that the right piece will not only illuminate but also add depth and soul to its surroundings. More than just light sources, these sculptures become an experience—a balance of strength and fragility, darkness and light.
