This struggle led me to reach out to a mentor who introduced me to the idea of using smoke to highlight light rays in photographs. This concept intrigued me, yet every attempt to harness it ended in disappointment. Frustrated, I almost gave up, but that initial idea lingered in my mind—a seed waiting to grow.
Fast forward two years, and those early failures blossomed into something beautiful.
The Idea that Stayed
The vision of integrating smoke into my art refused to leave my thoughts. While many ideas vanish after initial setbacks, this one remained. The captivating quality of smoke and its interaction with light fueled my determination to weave this element into my work, even though my photography attempts had fallen flat.
